Summer fun in the city, bubblesoccer in NYC!
My friends and I came across KnockerballNYC after leaving Regal Atlas Stadium 8 in Glendale, New York (for everyone else, it's in Queens; for whoever is familiar with the area, it's Atlas Mall). We were just trying to find a way to shrug off some of the frustrations from watching "Alice Through The Looking Glass." To avoid spoilers, I'll just say that it's nothing like Lewis Carroll's novel, "Through The Looking Glass," so prepare for some disappointment if you already read his novels from start to finish. On the other hand, I can say that it was entertaining, the puns, even more so. Moving on! Back to the topic of Knockerball! You have these human-size plastic spheres (sort of), with the top and bottom cut off. Also, the middle of the sphere has a small little cylindrical shape. The spheres themselves aren't a full sphere, since the segments look like orange slices. There's reinforcement on the inside to make sure you bounce back from being knocked down. I know I probably lost you here trying to describe what it looks like but here are the visuals to help: There's straps inside the orange slice balls so you don't go flying out when your friends, or the strangers there, decide to charge at you and knock you into kingdom come. If you ever dreamed of being in a plastic bubble, this is pretty much a perfect opportunity to; only this plastic bubble, is human go-karting.
The bigger question here is, how do you survive in that thing? Easy. Well, sort of. After the first two or three times you get knocked down, it's easy to get up considering the adrenaline is pumping through your blood. However, like my friend, Iman, who had trouble getting up (and eventually me later on), the bubble itself gets pretty heavy, and inside the bubble, you start sweating up a storm. It gets harder and harder to get up. The five to 10 pound bubble now suddenly feels like 20 pounds.
This is in no way to discourage you from trying this out. I actually encourage you to try out Knockerball and get some friends to join in as well. It's $5 for five minutes. You may think it's too short for time but it's really not; not when it's 80-something degrees and inside the bubble feels like 90 plus. I recommend having sneakers on. I had sandals on that day and although it was doable, I wasn't a fan of having dirt between my feet and toes. This is more for comfort.

The Perfect Game...
Knockerball was the perfect game for my summer football camp. Competitive, entertaining, and unique. Both the kids and the coaches could not get enough of it. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a group activity with a lot of laughs. As exciting as it is to play, it is just as compelling to watch! The only question now is: How many do I order for next year?!

Knockerball's have been amazing for our program and our students. Our first use generated a huge audience taking pictures and videos. One post on our Facebook page with a short video reached over 19,000 people and received nearly 8,000 views. The company also has great people to work with and have helped us with every need we have had.

Jorge hosted a Knockerball party for my son's 14th birthday at Juniper Park and my son and his friends loved it!! So glad I found his website while searching for soccer related party ideas... it was a very unique party and the boys had a great time. They looked like they were having so much fun that I just had to give it a try too! You really do feel like a kid again once you get into one of these things.
Jorge had everything setup by the time the kids arrived and even brought along a speaker to play music. He's an extremely nice guy who made sure all the kids at the party were involved and having a great time. He even accommodated my request to extend the party since my son was enjoying himself so much. Jorge is reliable, punctual and a great party host. Would definitely recommend KnockerBall NY 718 if you're looking to plan a unique and fun event for kids or adults.

Bubblesoccer Bithday Party in NYC by KnockerballNYC
We played Knockerball with about 12 people for a friends birthday on East River Park! The guys were there early blowing up all the balls and when we all arrived we were ready to play! They brought music and items for games and helped us to have a really great time! It is EXHAUSTING running around in those balls.
We had a really good time, and it was a fun and different activity! Definitely worthwhile checking out with these guys!

We rented knockerballs for a family reunion. It was AMAZING! There is nothing like knocking my dad down without getting in trouble. We rented 10 balls and Jorge came with 12- to be on the safe side. Throughout the whole time, he kept making sure everyone was safe, having a good time and make sure the balls were good before each round. He was very patient with my family. Let me tell you they need patience. Ove all having the bubblesoccer experience in NYC is priceless

Thank you to everyone at KnockerballNYC. We had a great time the day after Christmas when we rented out the local gym to bounce ourselves off each other for a few hours. The kids can't wait until the weather is good enough to take them outside and go crazy!
